YOURNEXTSTOP · PRIVACY
YourNextStop Privacy Policy
Effective October 24, 2026
This policy explains how Pie Mobile Apps, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use YourNextStop, our travel-planning app. YourNextStop helps you discover places, build single-day and multi-day itineraries, and view routes. This policy applies to YourNextStop, not our other apps.
Information we process
- Location: approximate or precise phone location, depending on the permission you grant, to show your location, find nearby places, resolve addresses, and plan routes. The app may refresh location while it is in use; it does not request Android background-location permission. You can deny or revoke permission and enter a destination or starting place instead.
- Trip information: destination, travel dates, hotel or starting address, place searches, selected attractions, interests, plan style, pace, budget level, time window, travel modes, and any planning notes you submit. A budget level is a preference, not financial-account or payment-card information.
- Technical information: IP address and service request or error information needed to deliver requests, prevent abuse, enforce usage limits, and troubleshoot problems.
- Support communications: your email address and information you choose to send when contacting us.
The current Android app does not require a YourNextStop account and does not include advertising or third-party advertising analytics. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
How we use information
We use information to provide searches and recommendations, generate and personalize itineraries, calculate travel estimates and directions, save your plans, operate and secure the service, and respond to support and privacy requests. Planning features send relevant information to our backend; this processing is not entirely on your phone.
AI-assisted itinerary planning
We use OpenAI to help select attractions and create itinerary suggestions. Requests can include trip dates, planning preferences, notes you submit, and candidate places with their names, addresses, and coordinates. These details can reveal the area you plan to visit. Do not include passwords, payment details, identity documents, or other unnecessary sensitive information in planning notes. AI suggestions can be inaccurate; verify opening hours, reservations, accessibility, and transport services with the relevant provider.
Service providers and external links
- Geoapify: processes relevant coordinates, search text, destinations, and route endpoints for place searches, geocoding, maps, and routing.
- OpenAI: processes the planning information described above for AI-assisted recommendations.
- Vercel: hosts our backend and processes requests and associated technical information.
- Upstash Redis: supports request limits and caches search results, address results, itineraries, maps, and routes.
- Neon Postgres: stores a reusable catalog of places, their public metadata, and planning-style suitability information. This catalog is not a personal user-account database.
These providers handle information under their applicable service terms, privacy policies, and retention settings. Information may be processed outside your country. We may also disclose information when required by law or needed to protect the service, our users, or others.
If you choose “Open in Google Maps,” we pass the selected origin, destination, and travel mode to Google Maps. Attraction websites and Wikipedia links open external services. Those services handle the information they receive under their own policies. YourNextStop does not control their content or data practices.
Storage and retention
Plans, preferences, starting locations, and recommendations are saved in the app’s local storage until changed or cleared. Android backup settings may also back up app data to your configured backup service. Clearing local app data does not by itself delete an existing cloud backup.
Our backend uses shared, time-limited caches, rather than only processing requests in memory. Generated itinerary responses are normally cached for 15 minutes, origin-search results for one hour, and reverse-geocoded addresses and detailed routes for 24 hours. Repeating a request can create a new cache entry or refresh its retention period. Public place metadata and attraction research may be kept longer to support future recommendations. Technical and support records are retained as needed to operate and protect the service, resolve requests, and meet legal obligations; providers and backups may retain copies under their own retention arrangements.
Your choices and privacy requests
You can manage location access in Android settings, enter another starting point, edit your plans, and clear YourNextStop’s app storage in Android settings. You can manage backups through your device or backup provider. Location access is optional, but some features require a manually supplied location when permission is denied.
For access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests, email piemobiledev@gmail.com with “YourNextStop privacy” in the subject. Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you additional rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to processing, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to complain to a privacy regulator. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify and locate the relevant records. Because the app has no user accounts, we may not be able to associate a cached request with a specific person. We may retain records where permitted or required by law.
Security
The production backend uses HTTPS. We use access controls and other reasonable safeguards, but no service or transmission is completely secure. External websites may use different security practices.
Children
YourNextStop is a general travel-planning service, not a service directed to children under 13. A family-friendly itinerary option helps adults plan activities; it does not create a child account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information through the service.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the app or our practices change. We will publish changes here and update the effective date.
